Safeguarding

Safeguarding at Marina Bowling Club

At Marina Bowling Club, everyone’s safety and well-being is our top priority. Whether you’re a child, young person, or vulnerable adult, we want you to feel secure and supported whenever you’re here.

Your Safeguarding Officers are

  • Sue Worthington-Dickason
  • Tina Rowe

They are here to listen, advise, and act on any concerns - no matter how small. You can approach Sue or Tina in person at the club, or contact them in confidence:

See the Club Officer Page for up to date contact details

What Safeguarding Means

Looking Out for One Another: If you notice anything that seems “off”—a member in distress, unsafe equipment, or behaviour that worries you—please speak up.

Confidential Support: All conversations are treated sensitively and in strict confidence. You don’t need proof—just your concern.

Keeping You Informed: Posters around the clubhouse display Sue and Tina’s photos, roles, and contact details so you always know who to turn to.

How You Can Help

Locate the Posters: Next time you visit, have a look at the safeguarding noticeboards.

Speak Up Early: If something doesn’t feel right, tell Sue or Tina straight away.

Be Supportive: Help us create a welcoming, safe environment by treating everyone with respect and kindness.

Thank you for helping us ensure Marina Bowling Club remains a safe, friendly place for all members and visitors. If you have any questions about safeguarding, please don’t hesitate to get in touch
