President's Day 2024

On Saturday 4th of May we held our annual President's Day. A successful afternoon of Bowls BBQ and Beer in the early summer sunshine.  Below are some photos taken by Barbara and first some words from Rick, our President.

"Thank you every one for making 'my' day so special. The happy memory will be everlasting.

A wonderful day such as this comes from a happy team effort, from all the members taking part on the green. (Thank you for kicking off your efforts for charity with the spider) and a super turnout from all the members.

The early start for the care and preparation of the green (thanks Mike and the team).

Sue for the Bowls Bash game (well done Reds Rink one with best total shots of 85). I was well impressed with the last minute change from 6 to 7 rinks in World record time!

Peter & Gay for the ever popular Barbie for everyone's enjoyment and Peter and the bar team to wash it all down.

Steff and Alan, Captain & Vice-captain, for sorting the organising of the players.

Barbara for taking the photographs and recording the event for posterity.

AND, all made 'perfect' with the sun god shining down upon us all day (as for our opening day too).

I am wishing for the hat trick with Captains Day at the end of the season and no 'rain-offs'.

A good and successful season ahead".
