Dog Policy

Dog Policy (interim)

Well behaved dogs are welcome at the club, but for the safety and well-being of all members the following rules must be followed:

  • Dogs should be under the control of their owner at all times and never left unattended anywhere on the club premises.
  • The club will not tolerate any aggression from an owner’s dog whether that is towards other persons or other animals.  In any case of aggressive behaviour the dog must be removed from the club premises immediately.
  • Dogs are not permitted on the green, even if they are wearing appropriate footwear, or in the flowerbeds.
  • Dogs are permitted in the clubhouse but are not to sit or lie on club furniture.  With the exception of assistance dogs, all dogs are restricted to the main room of the clubhouse and shouldn’t be in the kitchen or changing areas.
  • Any mess (for want of a better word) should be cleaned up immediately and disposed of appropriately.  Any cost incurred due to incidents or damage will be charged to the owner of the dog accordingly.
  • Dogs brought to the club must be controlled in compliance with the relevant TDC byelaws and Public Space Protection Orders.

The club can provide water bowls suitable for dogs, please help yourselves to water.

Issued by the Management Committee, 11th July 2023.  This is an interim policy and will, on agreement at the next AGM, be integrated into the Club Rules.
